Why does hot melt adhesive become carbonized in high temperature environment?
After the hot melt glue machine is used for a long time, you will see a layer of black material around the glue tank. These are carbides. Many people do not know how these carbides are formed and what should we do to avoid them. More carbides. In fact, the production of carbide mainly has the following points:
#1 The temperature of the glue box is too high. Some equipment has been used for a long time, and the temperature control failure occurs. The actual temperature is lower than the display temperature, or the temperature is much higher. The control function will cause the glue damage and the drawing phenomenon will occur. Carbonization will occur, resulting in equipment blockage and colloidal damage.
#2 Carbonization of the glue layer on the surface of the hot melt glue box
#3 The thermal stability of the glue itself is not good
#4 The hot melt glue is heated repeatedly for a long time in the glue box
#5 There are two different types of hot melt glue in the glue box
For the above reasons, the following aspects need to be done in the daily glue application process:
#1 The temperature of the glue is set according to the specified technical parameter value
#2 Check the difference between temperature control and actual temperature when there are abnormal phenomena such as carbonization
#3 The lid of the glue box should be closed at any time to prevent the high-temperature hot melt glue on the surface from contacting with fresh air and accelerate oxidation. The hot melt glue that has been repeatedly heated for a long time is best cleaned out and replaced with a new one.
#4 Do not use two different types of hot melt adhesive
